Color and wire up your own solar-powered race car! This speedy little race car features simple tool-free assembly and a paintable/colorable wooden frame. All project materials included. No batteries required. Just follow our step-by-step guides and you’ll be off to the races in no time! Standard kit size includes matrials to complete one project. However, these can also be packaged in groups of either 5, 10, 15, 25 or 50 to suit your individual group needs.

Add some fast paced fun to your next solar lesson with the Solar Racer Kit.

This project will wow your students with it's simple to assemble design and exciting speed. The Solar Racer is a great tool to teach the fundamentals of solar energy, power conversion, motors, and real world solar application. Once assembled the Solar Racer moves at a fast pace (fast adult walk in full sunlight) and provides hours of exciting racing fun.  

The entire project requires no tools to build with components that easily pop together with friction and hold tight. We highly recommend having your students decorate their Racers for extra fun. Washable Markers, Sharpies, or craft paint work wonderfully and allow for a wide range of decorating options.

The Solar Racer is available in a variety of pack sizes. The Single Solar Racer comes in retail packaging and makes for a nice birthday or stocking stuffer. Additionally 5, 10, 25, and 50 Classroom Packs are available that come in simpler packaging along with a discounted rate. We can also provide custom engraving on extra large orders for corporate and non-profit partners.
