The Newton's disc is a sturdy, vibrantly colored tool that can be utilized to demonstrate Newton's theory that white light is comprised of a spectrum of colors. The disc, printed with the colors of the spectrum, appears to become a neutral whitish color when spun quickly, demonstrating that white light is actually comprised of colors. Recommended for use with a Newton's disc spinning apparatus (such as the hand-driven Newton's disc (SKU# PH0582A) or the economy Newton's disc (SKU #PH0583)).
