Rectangular retort base, 10" x 6". Lab stands are used in every area of science - especially chemistry, for holding and manipulating an experimental apparatus. If you want to set up a home laboratory, a retort base is a vital piece of equipment. This retort stand is made of chemical-resistant cast iron, and features a tapped hole, suitable for rods with a 10mm x 1.5mm metric thread. Stand measures 10" long, 6" wide and approximately 1" in height. Stand weighs 3.8lbs, providing superb stability for basic experiments & setups. Its sturdy construction and economical cost makes this base an excellent choice for science classrooms & household use.
