Use this apparatus to explain Ampere's rule. This demonstration consists of a heavy brass wire attached to a transparent plastic base. It comes with six small compasses and one larger compass. To demonstrate Ampere's rule using this apparatus, arrange the compasses around the wire, attach the wire to a power supply (not included), and turn it on. This will cause the compass needles to change directions.
