This exciting mat was developed in collaboration with IS 51 in Staten Island, NY.  This mat is designed to for a Search and Rescue challenge. 

Students have to perform a series of tasks with their robot to maneuver through the “rooms”. Students will have to complete 3 rooms designed differently. Students need to focus on completing the tasks found in each room separately, using a separate program for each.

As an example: The three rooms are as followed and must be programmed to do the following:
Room 1: Fire- Run over “fire” area with the back end of the robot and exit.
Room 2: Rescue- Students must grab the survivor on the wall with the medium motor and exit safely with them.
Room 3: Debris- Robot must maneuver around fallen debris without running over anything and exit.
