Details

Voltage, current, power, joules, resistance and even RPM speed available at the touch of a button—displayed either on the LCD screen of the monitor itself or as graphical data on your PC. The Horizon Energy Monitor helps bring lab and field experiments back into the classroom, making it the ideal tool to complement the Wind to Hydrogen Science Kit (FCJJ-56), the Renewable Energy Science Kit (FCJJ-37).

The Renewable Energy Monitor is an educational evaluation monitoring device with PC measurement software for graphical display of performance characteristics on its own 2 line LCD screen or your Windows computer. It has a 2 line LCD screen for viewing measurements that you cycle through just by pushing a button.

The Renewable Energy Monitor is battery operated and comes with a USB port so it can also be used with or without a computer – indoors or outdoors – where you can make direct solar and wind measurements.

Horizon developed the Renewable Energy Monitor to allow you to avoid using the multimeters confusing setup and cumbersome computations in order to provide an immediate, graphical way for recording data directly with no formulas and nothing to calculate. Numerous experiments and evaluation activities for hydrogen fuel cells, miniature wind turbine kits, and solar panels are now quantifiable in real time for voltage, current, power, joules, resistance, and even wind turbine RPM speed – all viewable and recordable at the same time!

The Renewable Energy Monitor is fully compatible with any of Horizon’s educational kits.

Using this ADD-ON you can:

  • Compare voltage, current, resistance and RPM
  • Use in place of voltmeter, ammeter or multimeter for all your electro-chemical experiments
  • Compatible with any of Horizon’s science education kits
  • Compatible with Windows OS, and Mac using Windows Parallel or Boot Camp
  • Use indoor or outdoor, with or without a computer!
  • Export all data to Excel or CSV format
  • Record a video of your experiments for playback and review

What Educators are Saying About Geyer

Justin has been nothing but helpful and professional in my requests for these Boeing Defense requirements. He has been able to answer my questions and concerns quickly, and helped in securing the order that I may have made with another supplier had be not been the value-add that he is to your company. I hope his merit raise this FY was "exceeds expectations".

Jesse C.

..I contacted Geyer via email. I had an email back within minutes!.. A back and forth via email sometimes takes days with other companies and customer service doesn’t happen like this very often. When it does, it’s much appreciated. Brett at Geyer was very polite and accommodating!

John C.

The customer service rep went as far as to reach out to the manufacturer of a product to answer my question, and then provided pictures. She really went above and beyond and answered the question thoroughly and gave me exactly the information I was looking for. This entire process was also extremely fast.

Robert C.

I called to ask how to submit a Tax Exempt Certificate for my library and spoke to a real person, no automation or asking me to press a number. He was friendly, helpful and got our Tax Exempt status established immediately.

Mischelle F.

...I don't think I've ever experienced that level of customer service before, and taking it into consideration along with the quality of their products, I would absolutely recommend Geyer to fellow teachers.
