This April, classrooms nationwide were buzzing with anticipation for the Solar Eclipse, Earth Month celebrations, Spring break and more! Dive into the exciting activities that took place this month with Ozobot.

Earth, Moon and Sun

During a STEM session at Clearview Elementary, students learned about the upcoming solar eclipse. They constructed models of the Earth, Moon, and Sun using Evos to visually demonstrate the phenomenon of a solar eclipse.

Solar Eclipse Sighting

Mrs. Abing’s first-grade classroom embraced the solar eclipse and National Robotics Week with enthusiasm. Using Ozobot Blockly, they programmed their bots to explore the phases of the Moon and Sun during a solar eclipse.

Show and Share!

Ms. Smith’s first-grade students prepared for Show and Share by crafting storyboard maps to share with their families. Their maps feature colorful illustrations with a designated path for Evo to follow as they narrate their stories.

Work of Art

Ms. Delaney infused her art class with inspiration from the renowned artist Joan Miró. Guiding her students through an exploration of Miró’s distinctive style, they embarked on a creative journey to recreate his iconic artworks. They tailored their creations for their Ozobots to read!

For the Love of STEAM

In Mrs. Schwalm’s first-grade Meadowlawn classroom, students utilized their Ozobots and STEAM kits to guide their bots to replicate the shadow patterns of an eclipse.

GOAL!

In this classroom, students used art supplies and Ozobots to play soccer. They programmed their bots to navigate around the soccer field maze, dodging players. It was a creative blend of technology and teamwork!

OzoTown

Ms. Kurtz’s kindergarten class embarked on a journey to understand keymaps and symbols, essential for navigation. Through coding Ozobots to explore their community, they engaged in a hands-on lesson integrating technology with real-world exploration!

Evo Campgrounds

Ms. Benson’s classroom crafted campgrounds out of paper and markers, providing a vibrant landscape for their Ozobots to roam.

Beach Bot Cleanup

To celebrate Earth Month, this classroom at Legacy Elementary organized a Beach Bot Cleanup event with Ozobot! Students led the charge by designing tools to clean up beaches in a hands-on and impactful way.
