100 grams of lab grade Agar, used as a base to create Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar for the cultivation and study of bacterial samples. Agar comes dehydrated in a plastic open-mouth bottle for convenient storage. Each bottle comes with an SDS, providing safe handling and storage information.

 

 

Features:
• 100g bottle of general purpose, powdered bacterial growth medium base. Add ingredients (not included) to make Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar.
• Simply mix medium with deionized water, and desired nutrients, and bring to a boil while stirring to ensure the medium is completely dissolved. Pour into Petri dishes or culture tubes, then allow the medium to cool and harden.
• Ideal for use in general biology and microbiology laboratories and classrooms.
• This product is used as a base to make Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar. It contains no nutrients and will not grow cultures without additional ingredients (not included).
