The physiological and psychological impact of AIDS on an individual and society as a whole has been catastrophic. This kit may be used as a way of introducing students to the biochemical test for AIDS, to promote discussion, and to provide information about the risks of AIDS. This kit contains: Teacher’s Guide, student instructions and data sheets, ELISA microplates, empty vials, chromogen, antibody conjugate, hema tags, mircropipettes, microscope slides and simulated (Anti-A antiserum, Anti-B antiserum and blood samples). Designed for 24 students working in groups of four to simulate the ELISA test for HIV infection. Grades 7-12. |
