ZOOB The Moving, Mind-building, Modeling System
ZOOB has 5 pieces that snap, click, and pop together 20 different ways, so there's no limit to what students can build. Based on the way things connect, move and transform in nature, ZOOB captures dynamic movement unlike traditional "stacking" or "hub and spoke" construction sets. ZOOB is an acronym for Zoology, Ontology (the branch of metaphysics that deals with the nature of being), Ontogeny (the development of an individual organism), and Botany. ZOOB's shape is inspired by the nucleotides that make up DNA.
Educational Benefits- ZOOB is for all ages. It's intuitive enough for 6 year olds to play with and academically robust enough that college professors use them to model items such as DNA double helixes, anatomic parts, and architectural or mechanical designs.
Although ZOOB is designed as an open-ended construction system for creativity and inventing, each set comes with instruction guides and suggestions for creations. The instruction guides are cumulative, so each set includes the guides from all previous sets. Each set comes in a resealable storage bin.
Includes instructions for 37 creations. |
