It’s called LCS. The graphically textured surface that takes a positive
image from a felt-tip LCS marker. The LCS writing surface is carefully
formulated to provide the exact surface texture required to assure
maximum LCS marker usage and minimum erasing effort.
LCS surface
combines every advanced feature of modern porcelain enameling
technique. By carefully controlled methods, the enamel is applied
automatically to a uniform thickness and fired under rigidly controlled
temperatures to fuse the porcelain permanently to the steel. This
produces a colorfast and highly scratch and stain resistant surface.
LCS is made of 24 gauge stretcher-leveled steel sheets and is
manufactured in accordance with the Performance Specifications for
porcelain enamel steel chalkboards.
These Boards are built using
the finest, thoroughly-proven materials. Trim, chalktrough and map rail
are all extruded aluminum, etched and anodized with satin finish. Most
units have map rail and chalktrough full-length of Board. For every 3
feet of map rail one 2" map hook is furnished with a minimum of 2 hooks
furnished for each Board. These units are ready to hang on the wall
using the 2" angle clips that are furnished.
